Klimkovice Sanatorium

Klimkovice Sanatorium is one of the newest sanatoriums in the Czech Republic, providing healthcare for both adults and children, specializing in musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. Klimkovice Sanatorium has been offering high-quality rehabilitation care since 1994.

The team of doctors, physiotherapy experts, and other healthcare professionals aims to help every patient at the sanatorium overcome their health problems and achieve rehabilitation. In addition to modern treatment and diagnostic equipment, there are also natural resources represented by bromine- and iodine-rich saltwater, which contains a high and distinctive percentage of effective mineral substances and iodine. The unique environment of Klimkovice Sanatorium promotes complete physical and spiritual harmony. Although the resort is located just a few kilometers from the city of Ostrava, it is surrounded by attractive nature on the slopes of hills with clean air.

Klimkovice Sanatorium is newly equipped to provide adult patients with healthcare in the medical, nursing, and rehabilitation fields for cases of musculoskeletal disorders and nervous system diseases. Klimkovice Sanatorium is unique and pioneering in specializing in children and adolescents.

Musculoskeletal and nervous system diseases are treated, most notably cerebral palsy, congenital and acquired defects, and spinal and joint problems, thanks to the medical and rehabilitation methods used such as Vojta's method, Kabat method, Bobath concept, and local therapy. In training body motor skills, medical cases progress remarkably due to the excellent results after undergoing treatment, such as reducing spasticity, improving and developing movement, increasing immunity, acquiring and practicing basic movements, and improving the patient's fine motor skills.

Classic Treatment Program

The classic treatment program consists of iodine and bromine baths, individual exercises (30 minutes), functional therapy, hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, and physiotherapy.

"KLIM-THERAPY" Treatment Program

This program is based on intensive daily exercise for two and a half hours, using special techniques to maintain physical stability. This stability significantly increases the therapeutic effect on the affected nervous system. This program is suitable for adults who suffer from brain injuries, stroke, cerebral palsy, and children with cerebral palsy, growth disorders that cause movement problems, and brain damage resulting from inflammatory diseases, stroke, and hyperkinetic disorder.

"CI THERAPY" Rehabilitation Program for Brain Injuries

This program is based on a unique blend of rehabilitation techniques that significantly reduce limb disability in patients whose limbs have been damaged after stroke or brain damage. The essence of this program's treatment is through repeating movements to reshape limb movement, where the intensive participation of the affected limbs is supported and their functions are normalized to the greatest extent possible.

Klimkovice Sanatorium offers its guests comfortable accommodation among single rooms, double rooms, and suites. All rooms and suites were completely renovated in 2012 and 2013 to provide maximum comfort for spa guests. Most rooms in the sanatorium are fully equipped for people with special needs, which provides great comfort for wheelchair-using visitors. The sanatorium building is classified as a 3-star hotel.

All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, satellite TV, telephone, and internet. There is also a restaurant that serves meals for resort guests. Guests choose their meals in the restaurant with an open buffet system, taking into account the dietary system followed for diabetics, gallbladder patients, and others, and a diet system can be provided for guests who want it. Of course, all meat is halal slaughtered according to Islamic law. There is also an Arabic café that offers a wide range of tea and coffee types. There is also a prayer room for Muslims.
